The picture is a piece of street art which I photographed in Paris, I think in Montmartre. The original piece was a cyborg but with a little editing looks reasonable akin to the Bosch to allow me to stick with the rule of only using my own photos. Would credit the original artist if I knew who it was, but will post up their original art tomorrow.

Yes, the source of this picture is a sculpture by Jean Marais, located in Montmartre. I took this on my honeymoon and it ties in perfectly with this story for two reasons, which I am sure you can figure out.

Some of my favourite writers and artists will often talk about the soundtrack that they either listen to when they are working or that shape and inform the work they are creating. I thought that, every now and then, I would post some of the music that is in my head when creating the post for the day. So I had a reasonably clear idea what I wanted from this photo, but then just could not make it happen at all. Tried a few different angles and devices, downloaded a photo editor (which I have never used before) and ended up with the above. Yes, it's bad, but I think that may be a good thing.

Odd? Yes, but one of the things that stops me doing my writing (other then a busy life) is the fact that I want to keep chipping away at things till they are perfect. This project forces me to settle for what I can achieve in the time limit I have. Hopefully this will be beneficial in the future.

Another rush job (becoming a habit). Adult support at school disco along with prep for my son's birthday party meant I had to get this shot done quick.

Day 7: Armour

Today was a rush job (my son's 1 year birthday, yay Theo). I'm an awful photographer and this was a particularly bad one. Could not get the shot I wanted and in the end, running out of time, this is what I ended up with. Hopefully can do better tomorrow. Couple of obvious references here. One less obvious one (Spider #48, for those who need to know).
